RECEPTION

When: Saturday, March 1  5:00pm

There will be a reception party for the Ai Ohkawara Solo Exhibition 2008.

The artist herself will be attending.  Please feel free to come.

Ai Ohkawara is a contemporary artist who tries to express inherent spiritual nature.  Lines that are daring yet delicate to the point of being pathetic, and form that brings feelings of loss and uncertainty...all of these crawl into the inner persons of not just one's self but of humanity.  While she puts her focus on the fragileness and delicacy of those people who have experienced loneliness and emotional injuries, I suppose that I'm not the only one who feels that from somewhere comes a thread of light and in the same way there is something strong radiating from her work.  Is this the existence of humankind?  Perhaps at this exhibition we can see the evolution of this artist, who has recently debuted also in New York.  It will be fun to see where her work will go.
